THE AMERICAN BOARD of SPORT PSYCHOLOGY

The American Board of Psychology is the first peer review board in Sport Psychology that evaluates sport psychology credentials of doctorate holders in Psychology including Licensed or NAMP Ph.D. level Certified Psychologists. It was established to evaluate and issue advanced credentials in Sport Psychology including the credential:

BOARD CERTIFIED SPORT PSYCHOLOGIST and
BOARD CERTIFIED SPORT PSYCHOLOGIST-DIPLOMATE

Applications from Ph.D./PsyD., EdD holders and licensed or NAMP certified psychologists are being accepted at this time.

Once eligibility has been established a candidate is required to pass a comprehensive examination in Sport Psychology to gain the aforementioned credentials.
